Title: Dodgy commander!
Post by: Ricco_04 on January 23, 2008, 10:42:03 PM
Ok I seem to be having a run of bad luck with the car at the moment! :(

Anyway, was using the car today (after I was confident it wasn\'t going to melt! ;)) and on the way home I noticed my peaks on the commander seemed rather low.  Then I saw the startup menu and thought WTF!

Watched the commander and the numbers started to fade and come back several times and then appear to do the startup menu thing again.  Car didnt miss a beat all the time so just commander related I thought.  Checked the connection to the ECU and that was 100%

What could be wrong, is my commander starting to say goodbye?

Not having any luck are you mate! Id say the commander was on its way out dont worry about it you need to sort the other bits out first.

Ah yea I forgot about that, well you got my number bro, give me a buzz anytime.  Im going to tim\'s tonight (RichLee and usuall suspect\'s will be there) welcome to join us?

Anyway, back on track.

Used the car agin today.  Battery voltage on commander was reading 13v with ignition on (thought it should be 12v?) and while driving it was on 14.5v.  On the way home was a little more strange as while engine running was reading 14.1v

Urm so not quite sure what to draw from that???  :3Confused:3Confused  Any idea\'s?

I will log some more to see if there is a pattern betwene charging voltage drops and if the commander starts rebooting and/or flickering.
