I read on Racing Beat that if you use PP then you can have up to 300bhp :)

yep it all de[ends on what you want the car for. 300hp with a pp is definately achievable. Plus a wiff of gas and and the right tune and more is there for the taking. Mind you wouldnt want to daily drive it much wiht that kind of an engine.
 cheers, michael.

Well depending on ho good a ondition your block is in already, you could tidy up all the port matching on the manifolds, get a real nice exhaust. Aftermarket computer and a new tune??   it will be a real nice drive but nothing to et the world on fire.
Nitrous might be your friend too!
  cheers, michael.

ah right cool cool, im looking at getting one, there already way more powerfull than anything ive ever driven and i constantly hear about how modifiable the fd is and i thought an fc may be similar, though come to think about it without spending more than the price of an fd on one ur not going to get too far with it :P

You can get around 180 from the stock block on a N/A second gen.  If you can fit a straight through exhaust and a decent panel filter then its worth tracking down one of the ECU chips that a guy over in AUS has started churning out for the EGi, I\'ve no idea if they are any good though?
I think Grinder might know where the right link is :wave
