Title: Motorsport Diff for FD
Post by: shafster on January 22, 2008, 04:18:38 PM
i have got a motorsport diff on my rx. i was just thinking into the possibility of having it removed as there is no need for me to have it and it makes an annoying sound whilst turning the car at parking speeds. once the car is moving, it is fine.

so i was just wondering, how much does it cost for an aftermarket motorsport diff? so i can possibly sell mine to recoup the cost of having a standard one fitted.

cheers

Someone will definately swap you....

I bought a standard diff in good order for £100 on here.
1.5 or 2 way diffs fetch upwards of £150 - £200 easy esp in the casing.

P.S. I did exactly what you want to do, the things are so annoying on a street car.

Still got my 1.5way, saving it for a raing day LOL

brand new Kaaz 1.5 way diffs are over £450 without them being fitted to casing, so I reckon you could quite easily sell it for around £250 used

To be honest, unless you need the cash, I\'d keep it in case you ever want to take up track work seriously or drifting...

You can pick up a standard one easily enough with all the right off\'s this time of year !!

thanks for the advice mate. i guess it would be useful but to be honest, dont need the cash and i\'m never going to track any of my cars so rather than have it lying around, would prefer to get my rx driving the way i like it and get this gone at the same time :)
