Post by: babz_audio on February 26, 2004, 02:45:42 PM
my rx7 is currently at mazda, once i get it back i need to get it sorted

they say:

one of the rotars has no cpmpression in it and the tips are gone and also the main block needs changing

ive got a price from someone in london for a rebuild at £1800 + VAT

just wondered what i should do

thank you

well if it has no compression then yes obviously it will need to be rebuilt

Best speak to some other specialists such as WGT, Reworx, RX Motors, Hayward Rotary and see what options they can offer you

hey

im using carl hayward, very helpful and exellent prices

01635 846598

thats his number:D

also remember there are other costs such as engine removal and dressing it, which the 1800 + vat won\'t take into account

stunning car

hmmm from a distance point of view Hurley maybe the closest in Coventry but well i only work a stones throw away but lets just say i\'m now preferring to go a bit further to Pip as per http://www.wgtautodevelopments.co.uk/ (http://www.wgtautodevelopments.co.uk/)
But for such major work i guess it\'s more about the quality & cost of such work so the people mentioned already also come highly recommended :god
Wish you well & hope to see you at a local meet sometime with a fully functional RX7 (http://mysmilies.ipbfree.com/s/contrib/ruinkai/biggrinflip.gif)

there has been many good reports of the work that pip has done - i think if mine went bang i would take it to him ( but i only live about 40 miles from him anyways ! )

Very low milage for a rebuild.  Was you running synthetic oil on your car ?
