To give you some history I’ve had my ’95 type rb for around a year now. I brought it on the spur of the moment whilst looking at an evo and had no real knowledge about the cars.:spank
A couple of months after I brought It, I booked it in with a specialist for a service and to diagnose why the second turbo wouldn’t make boost. 5grand, a 1000 miles and 6months later the cars now running as it should  .
Aside from a nur spec R cat back the car is standard, as above the engine and turbos have been rebuilt and everything has been fine, however the itch to modify it needs to be scratched so heres what I’m planning with a view to maybe doing some track days in the future.
Koyo Type Z Rad
Greddy Spec M front mount
Greddy Compression tube and hard pipes
HKS Down pipe & either a silenced decat or a hi flow cat.
Fueiling mods and mapping to suit 1 bar
on the fueling side can the standard injectors cope with 1 bar if not what would be the best recommendation
Can the standard pump with the rewiring mod cope if not what suggestions would you have
I’ve read that a power fc can be mapped to control boost spike/creep with a decat but the guy who built the engine says it’s a nono – what would be the best course of action and if a hi flow cat is the best way forward does anyone supply them in the uk as I’m struggling to find one.
Is there any issues running a front mount with the standard front end in terms of airflow
Finnaly is there anything else I’ve missed that I should be looking to fit.
I realise that a lot of this should be discussed with the tuner but I’ve had a couple of experiences with some people recently that has shook my confidence a bit so I just want to get >
Thanks in advance
*edited cos i cant spell for s***
Sounds like a good base to start modifying from.
I\'d start off with a set of good gauges to monitor water and oil temps and then get it on track. That way you\'ll see what needs working on first.
I\'d suggest looking into the v-mount options for rad/IC rather than front mount for track use, costs should be similar.
Running 1 bar might be okay with standard injectors but you\'ll probably need to up the fuel pump (I use a BRN33 pump and some use the Bosch 044).
Before you throw a lot of £ at making the car go faster make sure you can stop. I\'d look at uprating the discs and pads and going to a full braided hose setup. Probably run a racing brake fluid too.
Mate, go single turbo. Trust me on this.
Turbo, manifold, wastegate, uprated fuel pump, 1680cc secondaries, Apexi PFC, FMIC also
Bang.
i think the decat cause boost creep rather than a boost spike. It\'s a problem with when you are trying to run 0.6bar and it creeps to 1bar which it isn\'t mapped for. As you can\'t map for a spike.
iaint
I had a water temp and boost guage fitted when the engine was out, oil temp and pressure sounds like a good idea i just need to find a suitable location for it as i\'ve taken up the dash speaker with a pod
Your absolutely right regarding the brakes, I fitted some uprated pads after I brought the car and also have some braided lines and a couple of liters of ap racing 5.1 but I havnt got round to fitting them.
A Vmount would be ideal but dont want to lose the aircon (hey this the first time I\'ve had aircon in a car :InLove ) and relocating the battery seems like quite a bit of work especiailly as I dont have storage bins
after your suggestions I looked at the two fuel pumps you suggested and the bnr33 seems a good option, did the tank require much modification to fit or did drop straight in?.
Strangedays
When the engine was being rebuilt the plan was for it to be streetported so i could go single at a later date, due to a **** up with the builder this never happened and I ended up having the twins rebuilt and tweaked (allegedly  ) for 1500quid so I\'m no real hurry to junk em now
also it seems that most of the cars i read about are converted to a single so i fancy keeping mine on twins as i think it adds a bit of character -especially in this weather
anyways thanks for the replys I\'ll keep you all posted when I start carrying out the work also I should make a post with some pics before hand as its a remarkedly clean and complete stock engine bay - just need to get a camera

It\'s cheaper to add the expense of moving the battery (and not all v-mounts need you to) than go FMIC and not get the cooling you need (not all FMICs are equal!) :)
The BNR33 is a simple drop in as is the bosch - no mods to the tanks from what I remember (it took re:worx about 10 mins to fit the pump whjen I was down there for mapping a few years back and we ran out of fuelling mid-map!)...
The Supra pump is also a drop in replacement and flows a lot more.
Carl has mapped my car for 1 bar with SMB exhaust and downpipe, dragon decat, efini y-pipe and hks filters.
Going back in a couple of weeks to tweak the map for the Twin Power and I also want it to be safe for at least a year as it\'s getting no more upgrades for a long while.
