Hi
MRC will be attending this as a Club event, but I have received the details from Castle Combe circuit, so if anyone is interested, perhaps you could arrange a meeting there.
http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/springactionday.htm
this looks good, but have a question about wherethe line is drawn on road legal cars!?i have a non registared fd3s ie no plates or road tax. but do have a current mot!any idea if im allowed on? regard\'s rob
there is no way mine will be quiet enough for the track :spank
how can you have a performance car day and then ask that they are all under 100db?
My FD is well over 100db...no chance.
Far better if it was at Silverstone --- no limits on db.

I think the noise limit is what is the killer of events there. :(
Doesn\'t look like anyone will be there then, shame.
I fancy going to this - anyone else.
John
Ok guys
I have contacted Castle Combe and will be submitting an club application for a club stand for this event.
John French has kindly volunteered to man the stand for MRC.
We will get 12 free entrance tickets to this event, normally £10.00 on day.
I can also order 6 track tickets for £100 [approx £16.60 each], instead of £20.00 and if there is a request for more then they will be £20.00 each.
The track time is either between 9.00 to 11.00am or 4.00 to 5.00pm.
Performance Car Action Day -Saturday 19th April 2008
If its road legal, has four wheels and an engine chances are it will be eligible for our Performance Car Action Day. Displays from some of the largest performance clubs, stands with lots of tuning parts and accessories and you have the reason why this day is so popular. Look out for trophies for the best car and best club stand of the show. Open to anyone with a suitable car and current driving licence.
All drivers must attend a safety briefing, helmets are compulsory (these can be hired on day), seat belts must be worn, arms and legs must be covered, cars must be silenced to 100 dba and must be to MOT safety standards. Safety is paramount and full track and safety rules will be sent with all tickets and are available on the day from the Organisers Office.
In order to asttain numbers of people that might be interested in attending this event in order for me to order the correct amount of tickets and track passes, please list below whether you wish to attend this event, by adding your name to the list.
Please state whether you require a track pass or just attending the event.

hey jon i\'ll be there the day befor on the friday for a full day if you wanna come along and tell me where im going wrong?first off which way round do you go or does it not matter?
Getting the way round is quite important....and will take up most of the day getting it right!
Im happy to come and show you this, but be warned it will involve the first half a day showing you this from the drivers seat!! ;)
Yeah I will bring my lid! Lets see if we can get you pointing in the right direction for all of the sessions :D
Just tried to get the rex out of the garage after its winter hibernation. Started fine, depressed clutch and pedal stayed at floor. Checked Master Cylinder and found fluid loss. Not sure at moment whats gone, but now not sure if I will make the 19th. So first reserve can have my ticket.
Just a bump for this as it\'s only a couple of weeks away.
Although the free passes have gone you can still pay, it\'s not much, and come onto the MRC stand.
Could those who asked for tickets please confirm they are still coming.
thanks
John
still coming looking forward to it
Thanks
Lee
I\'m still going!

Rec\'d this from Castle Combe, please read and take note if attending:-
NEWS FROM CASTLE COMBE CIRCUIT
This week we start on a serious note. The local Police have informed us that on event days here, even mid-week track days, they will be setting up speed cameras on the approach roads around the local villages. Therefore in your own interests please, when visiting us, respect our neighbours and ensure that you drive within the local speed limits. We want your visit to Castle Combe Circuit to be an enjoyable one and not starting or finishing with a fine and points on your licence.
RECORD ACTION DAY
Next Saturday’s Performance Car Action Day on Saturday 19th April looks like being the biggest ever. With displays from just over 100 clubs, a record in itself, to a sellout of track time will make for a busy day. Luncthime will feature a display by the Bristol Drift Club including several cars competing in the British and European Drifting Championships. Another feature will be a high performance session with cars of over 200 bhp.
Although track time is fully sold, admission tickets can be purchased on the day at £10.00 for adults, under 15’s free of charge. Action on the track will take place from 09.00 â€" 17.00. The next Action Day is the Retro & Sportscar day on Saturday the 14th June.

Thanks
Lee
Got may pass from the super special courier at the weekend as well - thanks lisa\'s little helper!!

Si,
my cars not ready, wanna share the petrol and give me a lift and the stand pass etc will have to go to another lucky person :2Confused
Keith
Hi Lisa
My car won\'t be ready for Saturday but I am still trying to get a lift there anyway.
So the stand pass and ticket is up for grabs. I can take it to the event or post it out asap to whoever.
Keith
Si/Keith - what time are you heading to coombe? I\'ll be heading over and the stand pass won\'t go to waste :)
Got mines yesterday - Thanks Lisa.
Could probably meet up at Reading Services (M4) - if I know what time you guys can get there???

Keith
Hi Keith
I\'m catching up with a mate just down the road from coombe after the event so not going to be coming straight back so could give you a lift there but not back - if Iain\'s coming he must be even more local to you, he could maybe give you a lift one / both ways (unless petra\'s also coming?) then he can nab your pass as well??
As for reading services - sounds like a good idea to me - timings don\'t know - assuming we have to be on site and set up by 9 maybe aim to leave at 8am (or is that too early:confused: )?
Si.
Hi Ian
Hav\'nt heard from Si yet so if you want to give me a lift then the pass is yours :Giggle
Just need to agree the time.
Keith
Been asked by the guys at castle coombe to show my 2008 time attack club class car out side the strawford centre for the day and also tag along on track with the bristol drift club at 12 so hope to see some of you guys up there.
Cheers
Mat
what time is everybody intending on getting there and does anybody know what the weathers gonna be like
Thanks
Lee
Think weather is gonna be similar to today.
Think im gonna be getting there for about 9.30am.
Yeah - aiming to be there for 9-9.30ish. Keith - are you stil wanting a lift, either myself or Iain should be able to see you good.
If anyone wants to meet at reading services as discussed earlier my number is 07715 172667 - probably aiming to leave there at about 8ish.
Si.

think there was 7 on the stand in total and about 4 dotted round in other clubs.
Was a good day but very wet haha
cool, my mate said he seen a few out on track, but they seemed to be taking it easy due to the weather

omg lol you emerged from nowhere haha
tell you what but that was a dam cold day and that wind just cut down the side of the face!! I\'m not surprised we had a few spin offs cos i walked the entire track and the wet surface showed all the oil spills, not one bit of the track was clean of it. I did noy do the track day and i would have enjoyed the experience of castle Coombe but there were too many cars bunched up and being idiots for my liking, nice to dice and all that but some just blatently ignored the rules. Other than that we had a few cars at the stand, i\'ll post some pics and unfortunately I had to leave after the drifting as I had a London Run to do. My day started at 5am and finished at 0130. Long day, spent a fair bit of money on fuel but it was all good fun.
few snaps of the Club stand, one or two other RX\'s dotted around on other stands.:D
Was a damn cold and wet day... We actually camped overnight just up the road and was interesting putting the tent up in that wind i tell you lol....
Seen your Car Pete and love it !! Although i haven\'t actually met anyone in person on this site yet i dont think :s
And believe it or not this was the first time i\'ve actually seen a Cosmo in the flesh and i soooooo want one :D:D:D
I was on the GTi stand (was free to me :D) but there were actually quite a few RX\'s there on the day... Not quite as good as the 29 Impreza Car Club parade lap... Bloody scoobs everywhere !!!!
Hey Rob, that is a major detour there ....... glad you didn\'t encounter anything more solid than a few flowers.
HORRIBLE conditions.
J.
The Cosmo rocks, who\'s is it ?
rob your car looks mental, you will have to bring it up to the next cheddar meet, will have to have one in the summer :D
chris, its not road legal so wont be able to bring that one:-( but might still have my red one so will bring that.
James-i should not have stayed out there really, just glad i went infield and not to the tyre wall!
Im looking at doing another track day now at combe either friday week(2nd may) or 23 may if anyone would like to join me?Then after that i may even start venturing further north to other circuits.
did see some rexs there and saw the cosmo looks nice stayed till the after noon for the public drift session lol
