Right chaps I need to get my hood changed on the fc.My only problem is the colour of the hood is beige/cream coloured.Ive tried a few places local to me,and they cant seem to get hold of the beige/cream colour anywhere.Ive been told by a mazda dealer that one could be imported from Japan however,the cost is too great.Anyone have any suggestions where I can get one from?

Maybe ask on rx7club? AFAIR there are or at least were a couple of companies that were selling mohair roofs in the US in various colours.
There is a guy in Maidstone area makes them.
I had mine made locally, cost me £700 in mohair. I have made contact with a company in the US that will ship one over for about £60 and cost about £250 to buy in mohair so thats my next hood sorted. These are ready to swop onto your frame and complete with rain guards etc.
There was a place down near the south cost doing hoods - but whether you could get one in that colour is another thing. They quoted a price for the rear hood section of about £350 which I think was labour and parts (re using glass). I will see if I can find the link as it\'s on my works email.
Pete - if you can get a mohair hood for £250 and £60 shipping I would be interested !! I take it you\'d still need to find a fitter for it.

Fella at work had his MX5 done there - they put the glass window in on his - but the price was pretty good.
Yeh ive had a hood done there on the rex before.But unfortunalty they dont do the beige colour ive got now!!There only 2 mins down the road as well

shipping from the USA will be $500 and they promise to send as a gift so no customs. They will do any colour. I will be getting a mohair one from them at some point and this will be about $600 all inc. The carhoodsdirect excludes VAT !!

Stu I,know this won\'t make you feel any better but ive got three of them now,and none of them leak.Allways keep them in the garage religiously
delivery is $110. Thats dollars and not pounds. $600 in total for item and delivery. Perhaps some of the vendors can get these shipped over, make a fast buck and give the MRC people a good deal.
Mine does not leak either and one which was made from mohair and the other imported from the US.
