i was wondering if it\'s for the center speaker now that i\'ve discovered i have one.....that doesnt work, but then that a lot of cables for 1 tiny crappy speaker...as seen here..

Third, heres a second cable i have discovered behind my stereo...which i still need someone to fill the gaping whole where the double din used to be.. :(

it also apears i have 2 atenna cables. i asume someone must have put a new one in at some point.

thanks for any help.

OK, the ECU is not standard, it\'s the knightsports ECU.

Cable 1 I think connects to the dash. You need to just undo the dash and feel around for sockets without plugs in. It is not for the dash speaker.

Cable 2 is an earthing strap for the stereo.

My UK car also has two atenna cables. Think it\'s just a Mazda thing.

ta for that, but that big cable defo aint for dash as there all filled, and everything works exept for my petrol gauge! which stoped working shortly after me removing the dash last time.

i pulled it all back out this morning and theres deffinatly no empty spaces on the back of the dash.

..anyone know how to remove the gear knob?

so casn anyone tell me what the markings on the ecu mean?

So how do you connect the antenna?

The cable looks just like one from behid the dash. Have you pulled the centre console out and looked behind there?

To remove the gear knob twist it anti-clockwise.

As for the ECU, it might be worth sending the picture of Knightsports themselves and see what they say about it.

I believe that white connecter behind the cluster fits into the swith whitch may be a blank.

If you look at ur cluster there is a blank switch top left, it fits behind there.

Thx
Raju

Let me know if it is from there

Title: Aerial
Post by: jonrx7uk on February 26, 2004, 01:46:47 PM
IIRC the large aerial goes to the electric aerial mast, the smaller one goes to the aerial built into the rear window de-mister...(which isn\'t really required).

Cheers

it doesnt do anythin unfortunately. Its prolly an extra switch fitted to some cars, could be cruise or for the sunroof or something. But not sure.

Sorry cannot be of more help.
