Im looking for a engine for my FD rx7, prefebly complete from a 96 + model.
i think there is one on pistonhead.com on the 1st or 2nd page that works for £1400 not 100% what year its out of tho!

sorry to hijack, i crashed my rx7 last month :(
i can buy the car back from the insurance company for 1000, but basically if im not going to get £1500 for the engine then i really cant be bothered going through the the hastle of taking everything to bits.
the car had about 80000 kilometers on it, it was rebuilt by a guy who used to work for mazda 2 years (6000 miles ago) all ive got docs wise though is a receipt for a rebuild kit which i think came from hurley motors or something.. so basically theres no docs, but the engine ran strong, never had any problems starting it, got rolling road results from wgt when i took it there..
Basically am i going to be able to sell the engine easily for £1500 ? so i know to take them up on the offer of keeping the car
also am i likely to get anything decent prise wise for my mazdaspeed 747s - http://www.b4mrx.com/115_1541.JPG
they do need a bit of a refurb (they are not mint for the anal minded :))

Hi mate what year is your car. Is the £1500 the lowest you will go, i have found a brand new rebuilt block for that price but it doesnt include any ancillaries. When you engine was rebuilt any modifications done to it?

dont know if they are to be trusted though!!!! would prefer it out of a running car and from a member from here.
the one on piston heads is at my place it is about to have the motor taken out but it is still in at the moment and is complete (gearbox,turbos, complete pull out ecu,all of it ,auto ) i think he will take 1000 for it cheers craig

hi mate, how many miles are on the engine. Has it had a compression test? whats the best pice you will sell it for if i collect it?
hi i havent done a compresion test but it will be out tomorrow,i dont know what he will take for the engine as its not mine, if you give me a ring tomorrow i can give you his number as it is at work. i think its done 50ish km, craig 07950399080
