Title: Got braided clutch hose
Post by: doddy on January 09, 2008, 05:26:41 PM
Gonna stick that in tonight.

Car needs trans and engine oils changed but my driveway is not suitable at all for working on (see "Dropped car on hand thread").  Gonna get a friendly mechanic to that for me.  He has a garage after all.  Â£40 vs freezing my a$$ off is a no brainer :)

Was out in the car last night just for a drive to band practice i.e. not for a raking session.  Nice car to drive eh?!

Btw gonna join the club as soon as I get past post-Christmas debts...

yeh I found that -looks pretty easy.
I already put a new master cylinder in and RoTechniks did the slave, so that\'ll be the whole circuit replaced.

Just toooooo coooooooold to do it at the moment!

got that pipe in no problem (had to cut the old one and get a deep socket on there to remove it from the slave cylinder).

I just bled it myself with a tube on the slave cylinder. Since this has to rise out of the engine bay it collects fluid which air can bubble up through. In other words I\'m pretty sure it\'s bled well.

Change is still not great but no fluid leaks any more.

Gonna wait and see what happens after all round oil change...
