hi all, ive been advised to upgrade my secondary injectors and was wondering if this was the right thing to do......
basically want to get the most out of the set up i currently have...
ive got a downpipe, decat, catback hks back box, SR motorsport enclosed air box, janspeed bigger SMIC, walboro 255 fuel pump, fpr, 850 primary injectors, apexi pfc.
it produced 268 rwhp at 0.7 bar sunday just gone....
engine got compression of about an average of 7.8 on both if thats any use.
If your thinking about using more boost/more mods in the future then yes its a good next stage to look at.
When i ran my T04E i used upgraded fuel rails, fuel pressure reg and 850\'s all round they were more than up to the task for it @.8 bar.
Will you be doing anything more to increase power?
hang on if you have 850 primaries that should provide more than enough on twins. You should be able to up your fuel pressure if you have a fueling problem
if you have a single turbo then most people have stock primaries and 1680 secondaries.
i ran 322 rwhp on twins with 850 primaries and fuel pump upgrade
We have run a car with 850cc inj primary and secondary, stock fpr/stock sec rail and 255 walbro pump and put a bar of boost through it making over 340 rwhp. That was a stock port engine with large FMIC and ign upgrades.
You have more than enough fuel capacity, no need to upgrade your secondaries.Get it tuned to run more boost and look at fitting some sort of ign amp.
You need more info email me at powerstakgg@yahoo.co.uk
well its gotta go back for more setting up, basically more boost, probably up to 1 bar i guess, doubt twins should go any higher should they?
ignition amplifier... where would a good place to get one of them be? makes a big difference?
all these people that are getting over 320 at the rear wheels on basically the same modifications as me confuses me, surely upping mine from 0.7 bar to 1bar isnt gonna miracously give me like 50bhp is it?
jm garage, i will be upgrading to a V mount in the not to distant future, but apart from going single next year there isnt much more i can do with the standard twins is there?
Again even with a v-mount you won\'t need to go for bigger injectors at this stage. Invest in a SARD fuel pressure reg to raise pressure. 850\'s all round will cope with over 300hp.
Do let me know if i can help with the V-mount we do a few now.
All the best
James
well i already have a fuel pressure regulator that is adjustable.... bought it off garys old project car from rotary art (same one on sicknotes red rex aka dave from thames valley mots if thats any help)
its anodized red with braided fuel lines etc etc.
fuel pressure sits about 42 if thats any help....
jm - pm me about your v - mounts please.
i\'ve heard it sometimes produces an unstable idle or flooding with 850s all round - is this true? I\'m looking into this at the momement too ;-)
get all your injectors flowed
