Title: which batery for my boot?
Post by: weejimmy on January 07, 2008, 07:50:03 PM
i curently have a massive 600 cca (cold crank amps)
batery in my boot held in with good old friction.
i know what your thinking and yes the 1st time i went round a corner it fell over and leaked all over the boot floor, and yes it was messy and yes it hurts when you rub your eyes with batery acid.
My cars STILL.... being run in so its not a masive problem but i want to put a smaller lighter batery that dosent mind being upside down (hopefully it wont be), like a yellow or red top in a proper holder.

but what is the smallest batery i can get away with? anybody know?
thanks peeps

iirc optima yellow tops are deep cycle batteries which don\'t mind being on it\'s sides, upside down etc! but they\'re directed more towards a 2nd battery to power ICE, red tops are cranking batteries but not too sure if they have the same advantages?
