was looking at the momo mellinium
(http://i10.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/99/84/7b20_1_b.JPG)
thats one ugly steering wheel. I prefer the race one and nardi\'s.
lol i thought it was quite nice :2Confused will have a look at them, take it they are by momo :xconfused
race one is a momo it\'s one of the more common ones. Nardi is a brand they do some nice ones and dished ones which is helpful if you are tall.
thanks. do you mean dished as in the wheel comes out further as i am tall

Both wheels are in perfect order.
Apologies for the pics as they are taken on a phone.
thanks for that mate. :Thumbs-up
i feel really stupid now but i have just been out to my 7 and i have the momo race but it doesnt have the momo horn button.
taken it off and its 360mm diameter and is the same depth as yours but mine has partly been sprayed which is the reason i am looking for a new one.
will the extra 40mm in diameter really make a difference? any one had an experiences??
also it had a spacer in there that i didnt know about and i wonder if i could get another one made up bringing the wheel even further forward.
any views?

40mm is a big diference i have recently fitted the same wheel in an mx5 for somebody who is 6 foot, gave him much more leg room.
Why there are so many momo race\'s knocking about?
So c\'mon admit it... who started the group buy? :rollin
Prolly cause they look amazing on the car and the quality of them is second to none :)
The dished Nardi wheel Timmy posted gets my vote, it looks lovely. I had a suede sabelt dished wheel on my 206 track car which was great. But you need to wear suede gloves with them otherwise they go shiny and look a bit crappy.

its only 20mm further away from my legs when mounted though.
i will have a think about it as im really confused now as £50 is quite alot if it doesnt make much difference :Hammer

I hate it, it\'s coming off as soon as possible, I\'d much prefer a tasty OEM stle one, or one of the lovely OMP\'s.
I have a Nardi Classic 360. Boss has a spacer for nice clearance.
Finished in Suede. Very Nice. Without the centre it looks good too.

Classic italian design, i like it lots. :D

Sparco do alloy spacers that bring the wheel forward, can get them anodised, polished or brushed ally (like in the photo of my wheel here).
Cost about thirty quid from Demon Tweeks or similar. OMP do one much like the Sparco but you can adjust the depth of it in about three or four lengths. Costs quite a bit more.
My wheel is a Sparco Lap 3. It cost £20 cos the alcantara had worn through. I thought "how hard can it be to re-cover?", then found out that the answer is "near-on ****ing impossible!". Alcanatara has no give at all, and you\'re trying to get it into a tube shape as well as follow the curve of the wheel circumference, so it just wrinkled up horribly. It took about 15 goes, and a LOT of swearing to get it right. I\'m a big believer in having a go myself, but NEVER AGAIN!
Sad thing is, there\'s probably an Italian work experience boy in the Sparco factory who knocks them out at the rate of twenty an hour!

280mm seems quite small! I think from memory the standard Efini wheel is 330 or 350mm, depending whether you measure to the inside or outside of the rim. I think mine is 330 outer diameter and it just cuts off the top of the speedo (irrelevant, depending on how paranoid you are about Gatsos!) and the indicator little green arrows.
The stalks seem a bit further away with the spacer, but I stopped noticing after a couple of days, so it can\'t be too much of a problem. The boss I have is a bit shorter than the Momo type ones, though, which made the spacer necessary in the first place.
The problem with Momo bosses is that they are for Gen II RXs (I think, maybe even Gen I), they have a brass contactor ring for the horn whereas the FD has a scotchblock connector that sticks through a hole in the boss. You can make a momo one work if you either drill a hole for the horn connector or wire the horn to another switch/button somewhere else. Neither of these appealed to me much! I think import MR2s have the same problem, ie the horn connector is different. Cos there are a lot more of them, you can get both sorts of boss, but RXs being rarer, momo don\'t seem to want to know.
You can get proper Jap-market bosses from Newera but they cost a bit more than momo. Of course, if you already have a boss, this is all totally irrevlevant!
yeh already have a momo race but it had been sprayed on the outside bits and looked nasty. going wth a smaller wheel as im tall.
My steering is suede, and I believe its the only way it should be!
