Hi,
Just seen this on Ebay any good?

Cheers Garith.
I\'m after a getting one fitted but I wouldnt buy this one. Just because there is no way I would want the tank inside the cabin. I Have visions of have an accident, the tank spilt spraying fuel all over the cabin (and me) and igniting :2eek
I tend to agree. //www.Tweakit.net is where I bought my pot from. It requires some fabrication, but it was made to fit under the car. I\'ve bought a seperate lift pump and high pressure pump, although you should be able to use the stock in tank pump to supply the swirlpot. Although you\'d have to source some of the other parts, you should be able to get a better external system for the same spondoolies IMHO.
((listen to me giving fuelling advice!! Next up, I\'ll be offering tuning tips!!!))
oooh the bish goes all tech and engineering like! Imposter!!!! What have you done with the real archbish? ;)
On a serious not I agree with Mark and bish, best to avoid any fueling systems in the cars cabin, unless you plan on putting a fire wall into your boot to seperate you from the swirlpot?
If you fancy waiting a couple more weeks we will have a anti surge kit for the standard tank, it will still have the level sensor on it (be it an uprated one) and should be a direct replacement in regards to all the fuel lines and fitting etc.
It will eliminate all those fuel surge problems that unfortunately the FD gets coming out of roundabouts etc (especially noticable when you increase the fueling (bigger injectors/single turbo conversions). Yet it will require no additional fuel system outside of the standard tank.
It will works on a "we send you a tank and you return your tank" for us to convert for the next customer. That way we should always have one or two on the shelf.
That sounds interesting. How does the price compare to a swirl pot kit?

If it\'s any help we have "under car" swirl pots on the shelf that can be found via this link

Do you provide some sort of kit that contains everything you need? Ie pump, pipes etc?

Haven\'t got final costings at the moment, but when we do info will be in our vendors section.
As a complete unit it might be a little more than a swirl pot, but by the time you have bought a facet pump to supply the swirl pot and all the relivant hoses etc it wont work out much more, if at all i expect.
When you see what is fitted in the tank then you will understand that it is a well worth investment especially as it requires no extra fueling system.
It is the same internal system that we are running in our race cars next year in our custom built race fuel cells.
Mark: Sorry to be a bit vague but until they are finished i cant really provide to many more details.
would it be able to take 2 pumps
Jason

2 high pressure pumps eg 044?
If so Yes, as we buy in a couple of parts, make a few more and assemble them in house we could easily make one with 2 pumps for you. Can also supply complete braided fuel lines to order etc
Just to clarrify the pumps are mounted in the tank, again this is just to keep all fueling contained within the tank.
sounds spot on i prefer to keep pumps in tank if possible

Hi Mark,
As with any modifications to any car the requirements of your fuel system should match the modifications you are performing so no we do not offer a standard kit but prefer instead to work with the customer to make sure he has what is actually required for his particular vehicle.
Most of the Rotarys that are around will never actually need swirl pots fitted or any kind of tank mods ever carried out as most are road cars that don\'t see any serious track action.
Indeed I agree with Jason in that I prefer to see pumps kept in-tank or for safety\'s sake or under the car which is why we have our swirl pot manufactured to fit under the car on the back of the rear sub-frame.
For most all twin turbo cars all that is required is the latest version of the 255 pump which we sell for £95 plus vat then moving up to highly modified Twin Turbo cars and almost ANY single turbo car all you need is to do is drop a Bosch 044 in the tank (£155 plus vat) and just ensure you keep at least a quarter of a tank of fuel in the tank if driving hard,
I ran my own car in various guises with an 044 pump over a period of 5 years and ended up with a big GT42 turbo with a monster ported engine running with "just" an 044 dropped in the tank with no problems and have many "track day" customers just running 044\'s in tank also with no problems.
In other words for just about any of our cars all they need is an 044 dropped in the tank and away you go :cool
Here you go, here is a comparison picture of a stock pump and an 044 ready to be fitted into the tank of an FD.
Hope this helps
