Title: Removing the charge relief valves.??
Post by: interloper393 on January 03, 2008, 04:39:26 PM
Okie dokie iv removed both the charge relief valves on the rex and im in the process of welding up all the unused holes and vac nipples after going non-seq, the thing im wondering is with no bov fitted will this damage my turbos/engine at all? i dont plan on boosting hard until iv had one fitted and it all remaped.. but what do u think on driving without them?

cheers

Do a search for Wastegate chatter or compressor surge etc...

i think it sounds great too, but that sound is compressed air trying to get back out through the intake impellor which some turbos can live with and others cant. it depends on the design of the thrust bearings inside i think.
