Oil service:
A mate works in a motor factors and looked in their book of words for me, and aparantly it said to use 10-40 semi sinthetic??? I normaly run the castrol GTX (minaral oil) but they don\'t deal with castrol anymore!! so he droped this stuff off to me:

On the back it says that it\'s suitable for turbo charged engines (but a rotary is different as we all know!!) the only thing relating to the oil spec is this:
Specifications:
API SL (Petrol Engines)
ACEA A3
API CF (Diesel Engines)
ACEA B3,B4
And the fact it has DIESEL stated on it I\'m a little dubious!! ????? Anyone ?????
I need to do the service ASAP (Today realy) as I have a mix of oil in there due to my oil leak the other week, which is all sorted now!!
Cheers
Jono
I would say a NO. Go for the Castrol GT mineral oil. Got 4lts for 15quid at tesco last time I bought some. You may need more than that though.
Shaun
That\'s what I was thinking mate!!
They stoped dealing with castrol as they dropped from a 5L tub to 4.5 and left the prices the same!! Bit petty if you ask me!!
Jono
But it works unfortunately. Means that you need more than one tub now to do a change !

I thought they put the price up a bit too anyway :spank
I guess the only reason they gave you the semi-synth is that they just cant get you the mineral! Go change it for
the stuff you know works! :Thumbs-up
we stock the Mazda 10w40 mineral oil for all you fully syn non believers, and its 5ltrs.
