Post by: interloper393 on December 26, 2007, 05:49:34 AM
Hi peeps hope u all had a good christmas :)

Just wondering whats best to use on the rubber ring to seal the connection between the 2 turbo pipes before it joins to the y pipe, iv got the metal pipes and im thinking this may be where im leaking wonderful boost from lol.. is exhaust sealant any good ?

Is this the joint for the cross over pipe to the IC mate???
If it is I would have thought hat silicone selant would be fine for the job as there is no petrole around that area!!

there 2 pipes, one from each turbo that join together but only with pushing them together as theres a rubber ring that holds them together..

That rubber o-ring should just need lubricating and then the two parts of the Y-pipe pushing together.  If its not sealing a new o-ring is in expensive.

As a short term fix silicone rtp sealant may do the job.
