Title: Uh-oh!
Post by: Alison on December 23, 2007, 04:41:23 PM
:(  The car\'s been off the road since 1st December and just parked up. We have been starting it regularly and all was fine....until......Friday, when she wouldn\'t start at all.  It sounded like the battery so we\'ve had it on charge today, but it\'s still not starting although you can hear it trying!

(Now regretting taking it off the road!!)

Are we right in saying flooding\'s the next probable cause? And if so, what can we do to help the situation?

Once it\'s running again, we\'re not leaving it parked up again!

out your foot to the floor on the accelerator and then crank it for 20-30 secs....then stop and try and start it as normal.....if that fails then...just tow start it.

Sounds flooded to me, plenty of tips on here for flooding.

If it was me id get a jump start going and crank it in 20 sec bursts until all of the white smoke has gone and she finally starts.  Failing that it\'ll take a few battery charges, or pull the plugs and clean em :)

Good luck, it happens to us all!

Chris
