Title: Boost Control/engine Wear
Post by: gsb876 on February 23, 2004, 12:35:47 AM
Hey Guys just a couple of quick questions:

1. What boost setting is safe for a rx? i have been told 0.82 bar boost? running a T-78 turbo with street ported engine usual extras.

2. What part of the engine takes most of the stress when going very quick, the turbo or the rotors? what i mean is does the bigger turbo\'s take the strain off the rotors or add to it?

Although this is my 2nd rotary car i am no expert when it comes to the engines, thanks in advance for any info:wave

OK, here\'s my guess at the answers. ;)

1, The level of SAFE boost on a T78 is whatever it is mapped for. If it is not mapped, then dont drive it on boost until it is mapped.

2, Bigger turobs will put more stress on the rotors and tips.
