Title: exhaust, looking for...
Post by: Bobfish on December 17, 2007, 03:17:14 PM
guys,

after being chucked off bedford saturday for hitting 98db on driveby with a limit of 86 (yes that means my car was nearly 6 times too loud) im looking for a quieter exhaust.

What do you guys suggest that is UK track friendly for a de-catted car running 15psi and where would i buy one? Im not sure on the RB dual tip as i think it may be too restrictive?

Thanks!

stylus 350 was running 500 bhp with a big single through his RB, and i ran over 300 at the wheels with hi flow twins at 1 bar.

Too restrictive.I needed to remove mine for more power. Very quiet though

its gonna need some kind of packing to reduce the noise that will cause some restrictions - think the best though is from tanabe as they use Advantex packing in there systems. Best material to let exhaust gases flow but still toning down the db :Thumbs-up

Where on earth has a limit of 86db!? I thought Donington was the most restrictive with 98db (which you would have scraped through at).

I run a 5Zigen box, it is more restrictive than some bigger, louder cans, not sure if it\'s any more restrictive than other quiet boxes. Maybe the OEM is the only way to get that quiet!?
