Title: HKS fan controller?
Post by: interloper393 on December 17, 2007, 03:15:28 PM
ok iv got one of these fitted in ma car, had her ticking over today and went for a wee drive, came home and just played with things and this thing im not sure about...

the engine temps creep up but when i switch the a/c on the temps still rise, switch the fan controller on and then temp drop in seconds right down to about 75... i mean from 90 to 75 in maybe 10-15secs.. how do these work? do they spin the fans faster than the a/c?

also any info on how to set it up to kick in when she reaches say 90, then switch of when she reaches 80 would be good.. lol

Maybe its not kicking the fans in with the AC on anymore and the HKS controller taken over?

Hard to say, I would suspect that your HKS controller has taken over total control of the fans, as they have a temp sensor on the HKS unit iirc.
