Title: Review: Phillips X-treme power bulbs
Post by: RemarkLima on December 17, 2007, 03:11:13 PM
After reading a good review of these in AutoExpress I thought I\'d give them a go:
Phillips X-treme Power Uber Ninja Bulbs of death (http://www.lighting.philips.com/in_en/consumer/carlighting/1_car_lighting/products_for_car/9_xtremepower.php?main=gb_en_consumer_lighting&parent=89083467512&id=in_en_car_lighting&lang=en), apparently (it said) it\'d not burn out your wiring and you can use them with plastic lenses and such like.

This was after my gf had to drive the RX back down some country lanes on her own and said she couldn\'t see 5h1t with the stock headlights.

Now, as I\'m heamorraging money at a new house the HID kit was just a bit too much, but I think I could push another £20 on bulbs, which is an easy (yeah! Right!) swap over, and the ones in there are probably getting on a bit anyway.

So, I get to work swapping them over but then realise from last Xmas\' trip to Brugge I\'d still never bothered to clean the left over adheasive off of the beam deflectors! D\'oh!!! So after new bulbs and actually having clean lenses it has made a world of difference! Both recommended if you don\'t fancy going to the full HID\'s.

ONly one little thing, the passenger side is a little more yellow that the drivers side, a bit odd but doesn\'t seem to affect the light output... Would it be the lense has discoloured?
