Title: Hello :)
Post by: SteveDunn on December 15, 2007, 08:34:50 PM
Hi,

Thought I\'d introduce myself.  I\'ve just picked up an N/A FC3S that I found on eBay for not very much.

I must admit from the start that the reason I\'ve bought the car is a bit of a stopgap whilst I\'m waiting for my other car to be finished.  But so far I have to say that the little FC has got me smitten.  Such a fun car!

It\'s a 1987/8 E reg.  It\'s actually on your list up the top of the forum there, E321 HAV.  I have a few little plans for it, which I will keep you updated when it happens.

I apologise for the blurry picture, but I took this this afternoon and it was FREEZING :)

I will be fitting a new set of wheels to it, and trying to find some decent coilovers, and hopefully working out what differential will fit with a much shorter ratio.

This is where I guess I let you know that I\'m one of those drifting types, infact I may have met some of you at the Rotorstock, or JAE events, where I competed in a black JZZ30 Toyota Soarer.  This was a few years ago though.  Here\'s a pic if anyone remembers it :)

I am currently 6 months into my latest project, which is a Nissan 200sx, that is having a 1UZFE 4 litre V8 from a Lexus LS400 shoehorned into the front of it.  I\'ve got bored of driving my Skoda daily driver around for all this time, so hence my purchase of said FC.

Here\'s a pic of my project car.  Anyone that was at Japfest in May this year may remmeber it from the Driftworks demos :)

Pictures sadly taken after I\'d clipped a cone at the top of 3rd gear :(

Anyway, hello to all.  I recognise Beezy as he\'s a local to me, and also Carolgees, who I guess is also a local.  I\'m from Ashford in Kent :)

I\'ll post some pictures tomorrow, after I\'ve test fitted the Work Equip\'s I have waiting for her.  Still can\'t believe how comfortable the car was on the motorway this afternoon!  Great cars.

End essay :)

Cheers :driving

Steve

Had a little play with wheels and a rust-looking-at today.

Passenger side of the car.  Lots of welding been done before...

Rear passenger side strut.  Looks in very good nick, and feels it too.

Wierd 3rd exhaust???  Don\'t understand :)  It leads all the way back to the engine.  Something to do with emissions maybe?  Anyone know?  It\'s only on the passenger side...

These are the Work Equip that I\'m going to be running the car on, whilst I\'m on the look out for some R33 GTR wheels.  They\'re 17x8.5 ET16.

With some less wide tyres and about a foots drop it will look awesome :D

Going to book it in for MOT for next Friday :D

Thanks for the welcomes :)

Woodsy - The S13 is mine, the R32 belongs to my team-mate.  We rent the unit together to store all our crap :)

Hmmm S13 \'project car\' receiving an engine swap and a daily drifter n/a FC - we\'re mirror images of each other! lol

You won\'t be seeing much of my RXs at the moment though, they\'re hibernating in this kind of weather :)
