The thought process is along the right lines, but to be honest he should have stuck with the stock air box
i did modify my air scoop that feeds the battery/intercooler/air filter so it just feeds the intercooler seems to have improved things quite a lot in getting the temps down a little bit on the stock intercooler i have also extended the bit that hangs down behind the front bumper that pick up the cold air feed.
