i have a gen 2 oil cooler to fit to the car, i currently have a behive water/air cool set up, question is would it hurt to have both and just connect the cooler to the back of the behive and front plate
thanks
Mark
I was thinking this too as I have the same to go on my 1st gen but I haven\'t got a non cooler pedestal for the filter. I can\'t see it hurting, an old rally car of ours had both. I think so of the time the water-oil ones are more about bring the oil and water up to temperature at a similar rate. I can\'t think of a problem with doing it unless some of the pipework clashes.
The only downside is the motor looks much cleaner without the beehive. I suppose it can be removed at a later date. (which suits me as I have only a week or so to drop the new bridge port into the 7)

Wouldn\'t the air cooler only act as a backup then ? The Thermostat would keep opening and closing ?? Bet its a good system for high stressed engines.

Thats what i thought, i do have a non cooler pedestal if i want to swap.
i was just going to take a feed from the front plate and then into the back of the beehive.

I don\'t think there are any external oil pipes to the beehive cooler, the oil flow is all internal, the oil cooler (air) replaces the hard pipe that runs from front to rear on the engine.
