Title: Couple of FD questions...
Post by: Ian@TunerUK on December 11, 2007, 09:51:26 PM
Been asked by a lad I know the following, can anyone help please?

QuoteAs above i am after pics of the rear suspension set up off an RX7. As detailed as possible would be good.

Also what Offset do RX7\'s run, and what sort of power can the standard diff cope with?

The rear suspension is multi link. has hub carrier mounted on a single lower arm mounted to a subframe, with a lower trailing arm. Toe is controlled by a toe link mounted on the hub carrier to the subframe.
upper wishbone holds the hub carrier in place, with a rear anti roll bar.
The ARB and damper use the same mounting bolt and eye on the upper wishbone.
The damper/spring is mouned above the hub carrier and located in a strut tower.
The two rear struts are linked by a bolted on strut brace (inside the car).

Picture here: The blue arms are non standard items, but in the standard positions. Hope that helps:
