:( Oh I don\'t know what to do! I really want a 99-spec front end, but I take it they are RARE! (Or if not, then someone please point me in the right direction). I don\'t want to keep the standard nose, but I don\'t want an OTT kit. Sorry I\'m whinging! Anyone got any suggestions...
Sure Newera / Speedline Imports and other will be able to source one from Japland for you as there\'ll be a fair few 99 spec cars which have had a new front bumper and so have their one going.
Otherwise rx7 store do all the bits required:

I think they\'re copies but not too sure.
Ooh thankyou thankyou! Obviously didn\'t look very hard did I?! thankyou! Yay :wiggle
Bit of a tip, Don\'t get a GRP copy, i tell you this as a painter. GRP Aftermarket Bumpers Stone chip really badly and i\'ve removed them before now for this reason. If you are going to swap go for a genuine 99 spec bumper don\'t try and cut corners.
BTW try Speedline in the Traders section, he seems to be able to source some good second hand parts (at good prices)
Hi Alison, we have just sourced a second hand 99 spec bumper for a customer and will be looking to try and get some more as so many people are after these.
Even second hand they are not cheap, but being genuine Mazda items the fitment is perfect, so what you pay extra for the bumper, you soon save in bodyshop costs as your not paying hours of labour to fit a bad quality fibreglass type bumper.
Clive from MRP is about to order me a new 99 one with splitter, ask him.
noo:Nono! you dont want a 99 front there rubbish.................honest:spank

Err duznt your car have a 99 spec :o
I don\'t see it as being like everyone else. It\'s what I like, they\'re nice and simple, while still looking abit more updated than the earlier ones.
I\'m not too worried about prices. I\'d rather pay more and know it\'s going to fit and look good to be honest, and it will be an after Xmas purchase so it shouldn\'t be a problem! :chat Now I know where to come when I\'m ready to order - If I haven\'t changed my mind again by then that is!
The one Clive is getting me is a Mazda one not cheap copy. Dont get a cheap one.

Only prob with the OEM 99 spec bumper is the number plate holder. Now if you could get one that wasnt GRP without the bump then I\'d share the transport with you.
Keith
There was a firm in the US that was making copies of the 99 spec front bumper without the bump for the number plate and made of polyeurothane or something similar, not GRP...
I\'ll see if I can find it but it was a while back, when I was thinking of exactly the same thing, but then I think I\'ll keep it retro, Initial-D style-e :D
I can get Plateless 99 Spec ones drop me an email mims (at) lightningdynamics (dot) com
