Title: Induction kits... Do they have brackets?
Post by: RemarkLima on December 01, 2007, 03:42:04 PM
Hey all,

Just went to fit the K&N induction kit I\'ve got hold of, and everything seems good except that there\'s a couple of tabs on the hard pipes that look like they\'d be bolted to something, but do not line up with anything.

So do you just leave them flapping around in the engine bay (really, really don\'t like that idea at all!) or should there be a bracket that comes with them? That maybe mounts on the stock airbox mounts and then to the hard pipes?

Cheers,
Mark

ive got a GReddy induction kit and it had brackets to hold the hard pipes in place which bolt onto the car.  I would have thought all induction kits would need some sort of support to stop them moving about.

Cheers matey, looks like that\'s the bit I\'m missing... I\'ll see if I can order a spare or something similar.

My HKS kit came with two brackets that bolted stright onto the mount points of the stock airbox :)
