Can anyone give me any pointers on fitting a HKS boost controller to my FC? A good description would be great regarding which pipes to tap into photo\'s would be even better. Also what I can set it too once its in so that it won\'t make the engine go BANG! Cheers guys.
best idea is to just give it me matey !!
im sure that the HKS website will shed some light on it for you
Yeah I had a look on the HKS usa website, but I thought if someone on here had fitted one they would be able to give better pointers than a manual written for any car.
speak to shaun - he has a profec - but i assume its the same theory
selonoid - few pipes - controller :D
I will have pics of one fitted later today, will post them for you but i have to get the car first. There are several threads with pics on here so it might give you some pointers first. Might be good to get it all in place, mount your controller, send the loose wires to the ECU area and mount the valve somewhere on your drivers side strut mount or wherever it suits you. The hoses will have to reach the front of the turbo so make sure there is enough slack in the system, you can always trim down after at the valve/solonoid end later.
I am also going to fit one to my FC so I will post pics on that as well as so many people want to know for the FC\'s.
Cheers guys. I know its not a hard job really. Its just some people I spoke to about it, say pipes have to go here and there and then I say "rotary" and they go "oh I don\'t know then"
Hi Ade, got any recent pics of the car? It still running ok?
:)

Heres a couple of pics taken about the end of September I think. As for running she is purrrfect! other than a sticking starter motor sometimes. I had a big panic yesterday, I drove to my parents house about 2.5 miles away. Waited for them to arrive (they were picking my brother up from the airport). They arrive about half an hour later I go outside to show her off to my bro and there is a load of oil running down the road:2eek . (it was rainning when I arrived so it spread it). Anyway I couldn\'t find the leak and the oil level wasn\'t low so we went for a blast.:D The power steering has been leaking slowly and it needs topping up as its squealing slightly at the minute. Im wondering if a seal has finally popped on it or if I overfilled the engine with oil slightly and its coming out of a breather. Im gonna put it on a ramp tomorrow and have a good look.
Anyway when are you buying another FC and coming to some meets?
still looks ace!
glad its running well, you had it rolling roaded at all?
as for me getting another one, if I could find a decent one I probably would but i\'m more likely to get a v8 soarer i think at the moment - need something a bit bigger :)
No i\'ve not had it dyno\'d yet. Next year im hopeing to take it to the Nurburgring next year so i\'ll be wanting to spend a bit of money on it first to make sure all is well. I know a guy who has bought a dyno and is currently installing it at one of his friends places. So that should be good.
Dyno days are great fun, a friend of mine has an r32 gtr running around 420bhp at the wheels, i went with him to get his done. Came back a bit deaf but enjoyed it.
Not sure if id put mine thru the paces tho, too paranoid it would fly off the rollers haha
Well the dyno is up and running so I guess its time to find out when he can put it on for me. Hopefully over christmas when we are both off work (He only bought it to tune his Turbo Mini its not part of his full time job). I\'ll let you know what goes on.
Adrian did you get controller fitted ok ?
hope to see you again at york raceway next season hope better weather next year
No I haven\'t got round to it yet. I finish work for christmas next friday so I\'ll have a go at it then. Im only need to find out which pipe goes where you know how it goes!
How\'s things with you Pete? You got any new editions to the FD?

Adrian thats a nice long break.
got bits now for new year WMI,ignition amps & if :Santa has read my letter twin gauge pod with water/boost gauges
if the rain stops i will get some pics of the hose connections for you. Will it ever stop!!!
Cheers Pdtaylor that would be cool. hopefully in the next week or so the rain will ease then you could take a couple of pic\'s for me. I really can\'t wait for the christmas break. I\'ve been doing quite a lot of working away recently and doing a lot of 10-12 hour days. Got to feed the Rx some how! If I get a dry day i\'m gonna treat it to a good wash, T cut, wax.
pics as promised.Mine was not wired into the ECU,had the ability but a label said not to, the wires will go to the speed, ground, power and RPM in the ECU. Anyway the rest was really simple but I could not tell what was NC,NO or ACT as there were no markings but not hard to work out but there is another thread on here that explains that. You will find it easier if you remove the airbox, Turbo inlet hose and hopefully you will see the turbo. the pic looks straight forward to follow. I am converting this back to standard as I am selling the controller, the oil is because the turbo has gone and lots and lots of end play!!! reason for all the smoke !!!!!
