Finally got near enough 1000 miles on the engine and had it\'s first mapping session today at WGT. Car pulled quite well and im very pleased with the engine work thats been done by Pip.
Bit of panic on the first few pulls as smoke started coming from the engine bay round the intake manifold, luckily it was an unclamped hose, which was quickly fixed.
The only disappointing thing was the exhaust was found to be too restrictive, which supprised me as it\'s a kakimoto racing and causing a lazy second turbo, so the car ended up having half a mapping session and was mapped safely.
I have a brand new trust downpipe in my garage, so it\'s just a case of deciding what exhaust will be the best for performance.
Enjoyed the ride back home though up the M6..... Nice to be in the fast lane again!
That is a very satisfying feeling on the way home. And of course the car is lighter because your wallet is empty, so can go quicker !!
Yeah it does make it worth all the money when you finally get to put your foot down again!....
My wallets always light, it\'s just my credit card is getting very very heavy!
I had a restrictive exhaust on mine once - was reccomended by a friend turned out to have a smaller bore than standard :Laugh :Hammer
What did you manage to get on your session thus far bhp wise?
Had the car mapped very safely so wasnt really pushing it, but it managed 230 at the hubs.
Car is fairly standard apart from:
Apexi Intakes, PowerFC, streetport and kakimoto exhaust.
Forgot to mention the Excedy Clutch too....
