Post by: batman on November 25, 2007, 06:55:48 PM
after last nights meet and run i realised from some valid pointers i have to many mods and no control lol so i need a apexi comander .
and also told before i buy to ask here as you lot seem to have many cars in bits aswell as some stunners.

so i need the whole thing and then a rolling road:god

Why not just take it to someone who can map it for you.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like you may need an ECU to go with that commander....

as i understoon the comander is an ecu isnt it plug it in and with a standard base map its drivable but with a tune ie rolling road becomes more drive able without blowing up

the commander is just the handheld controler for the ecu, the ecu is call an apexi power fc or PFC for short

well £175 is extreemly cheap for a pfc and commander so im guessing your only getting the commander and not the ecu.
The commander will be usless to ya without the pfc ecu.
Btw my pfc+commander was £485

you need somthing like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Apexi-Power-FC-Ecu-With-Commander-Mazda-RX7_W0QQitemZ150173838356QQihZ005QQcategoryZ72205QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
make sure you get the correct one for the age of your car.
Aslo some of the supporting vendors at the top of every mrc page sell them and can get one to ya real fast.

I\'d play the waiting game mate, no one should be paying a grand for an FC and commender these days.  That price is what they were about 4 years ago before the market got competative!

How about looking for a 2nd hand on e (and make sure its re-set / mapped for your car before you use it).

Wedge the commander between the fag lighter and the steering colum covers. It fits a treat and is easily viewable, more so than the R magic holder.
