Title: Group buy on racing seats if anyones up for it? Pics & details inside...
Post by: S3TH on November 22, 2007, 07:48:39 PM
Hiya buddies, recently came accross some racing seats on ebay...
Click Here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250188311454&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=015)
& manufacturers page here... (http://www.jkcomposites.com/saloon-gt-page.html)

For the lazy ones... :)

I was interested in a specific spec & gave him a call, he told me the following costs:
Saloon GT seats - £100 each,
2 Piece trim in various colours - £40 each,
Custom RX7 Subframe (5mm Alum) - £45 each,
Delivery for a pair of seats - £25.

He said he\'d also implement the runner if we send him the stock subframe... :)

So the total inc. delivery came to £395...

I\'ve nothing to do with him but asked if he\'d be up for a couple of rx7 owners doing a group buy. & he said he\'d do 20% off for us all if we get 5 orders :)

So since were all in the same boat (spec-wise) I was cheecky and asked he could do the above spec for £300 inc. delivery. He agreed :D

Personally don\'t think that\'s too bad a deal for a set of custom light GRP seats in a nice gloss black upholstered in any colour you want! Posted! (If you want the 5 piece upholster think it\'ll be an extra 50quid for the pair)...

But anyway enough of the chattin... would anyone be up for it or am i on my own? :rollin:Hammer

Speculation would be great, his number is on the ebay page for anyone who wants to ask him some direct questions!

Cheers, Seth.

He\'s based up in liverpool :Hammer
I asked him about safety & rigidity in the event of a crash & he replied they\'re far more rigid than some FIA approved models that he sells but i suppose it would be best to check them out first if anyones near liverpool?

Gary @ rotaryart is working on some interesting CF lightweight racing seats for not much more money... sounds awesome, waiting on further details/pics :)

Cheers.

Heheheh... not sure about that, Gary mentioned a quide price @ £400 for the pair & the potential of a group buy for them still exists... :)

Hope Gary can put some provisional pics up so people can decide if they like the GRP or CF ones since both are pretty good for the money imo!
