ive seen alot of stories of seats not fitting, so which ones will actually fit?? ive looked at alot of the bride seats but what cheaper options do i have???
cheers
Corbeua or Cobra - not all their seat though. Biggest pain in the ass is getting a frame that fits the car AND the seat. That cost me a shocking amount of time and I\'m still not 100% happy.
This is presuming you are after fixed back seats?
well not sure really im open to most options would prefer adjustable but fixed back would be ok, which manufacturers actually make subframes that will fit a fd?? or do you just have to buy universal ones and try and make them fit?
I have got recaro apex fitted to bride low max rails on the drivers side, just waiting for seat rails for the passenger side. rails bolt straight into the car and the seat JUST fits, just misses/brushes the drivers door. i guess it puts me around 1.5-2" lower if that is what you are going for, and a lot more supportive than the standard seats.
just taken a look at those, they look quite nice, if poss i might try and get reclinable, anyone know the dimensions of there seats??
ive found these that i like but i dont expect they will fit

Dimensions: A-53.5cms, B-60cms, C- 89cms
hi mate
I had corbeau sprint`s in my old car but had to make up subframes to get them to fit. mind you I was trying to fit them as low as possible o gain some head room.
mat
Just get your money out and spend it on brides. rhdjapan are doing deal on pairs at the moment and also includes the rails. Make sure you get it marked as a gift tho they are using fedex for delivery on these i think.
Just a warning: the whole \'mark as gift\' thing only works up to a certain limit - IIRC it\'s something crazy low like £35 - apparently \'warranty return\' is where it\'s at ;)
Has anyone got a Sparco Torino on their FD?
I\'ve got one in my loft an an FD soon to be arriving by boat - want to know if i should just sell it now to fund my PFC :D
We are stockists of Corbeau seats, and remeber an extra 5% off for full members, along with the standard Corbeau subframes, we are in the process of making our own.
Will be posting pictures of all of the seats and their prices tomorrow

Worked on my Brides but they were sent ems. but i do agree totaly doesn\'t always work. Also i think fedex are a bit tighter than parcel force.

Hiya,
We have sold many of the universal Corbeau seat runners for FD\'s along with their seat and these fit FD\'S fine and can be mounted very low,
As you should know we too offer 5% discount through our shop for members who use their discount code, which can be found in the members area.
Here are the runners/

Hope this helps
Tried fitting Coreau spring with bride rail into my car before, miles away from fitting in?? Still got door cards, maybe the reason why?
cheers for all the help, i really like the corbeau boss seats.
mazdarotaryparts - have you sold these to a FD owner before and know they fit?? do te universal runners fit ok? do they fit the original bolt holes or do you need to make new ones? how high would they sit?? me and a mate got some corbeau subframes for a 205 and they sat very high, my head touched the roof, in the end we used the standard subframes and bodged it.
AtomicRex - would be very interested if you are making some subframes that will be a good fit and sit low. Also would be good to see what prices you can do the seats at.
cheers
chris
What ever Corbeau seat you pick will fit an FD as all are within around 5 mm of each other width wise.
The seats are universal and therefor need adapting to any thing you fit them in but as said, for an adjustable seat frame it sits very low and from memory only adds around 30mm to the overall seat ("bum") height.
Corbeau Boss are the damage!!
I\'ve got a set in my Uncle Fester, once your in, you ain\'t coming out again!!
I think they look really good and a very good price, you can basically buy 2 seats for the price of 1 bride seat lol. And i like the fact that they are red and black, i like red seats to go with the car but dont like red all over.
Any idea does the Sparco Rev/Pro 2000 seats fit into FD interior?
Did you every get seats?
I seriously would say only buy brides not because they are coolest but the position get ruined by the anything unless atomic has come up with some decent subframes.
My car came with a sparco in and it put you in physical pain to drive, needless to say they were removed very quickly.
Our subframes are being made at the moment. Will chat to the fabricator today and update later
jon what seats can be fitted with your subframes?
I have a set of Brides for sale soon with actual FD runners so they bolt straight in. Even come with seat belt fastner
They are adjustable in width, height and front and back....so the aim is that you can fit any bucket in you like
Well, i quess i\'ll have to buy Atomic\'s subframes and fit them into the Sparco. But does the Sparco seats rub the doorcards? I would have a opt to buy a Sparco Rev seat, and i just wanted to know before i buy.
Thanks
I doubt the REV will rub....but I think they have stopped making it.
Corbeau sell the Sprint which is similar to the width of the old REV and also the Forza Sport. We can supply both of those if you like? The shoulder width of the Forza is 55cm...and the sprint is 58cm
Pro 2000\'s are pretty wide - I don\'t think you\'ll manage to fit one in  Revs are better, but may need some jiggery pokey.
IIRC Pro 2k\'s and Revs are both sidemount - I\'m pretty sure they use different spacing to Bride :(
Have a word with Driftworks, I\'m sure that theire SuperLow\'s were previously available to fit side mounts.
Right the first set of mounts will be ready on Wednesday...so I will photograph them in and out of the car, with and without a seat attached. The final sets will be ready for sale on Friday. :)
What price will these work out at and will they be ok with side mounted seats and will i still have to buy sidemounts
Thanks
Lee
Hiya Lee,
You are correct they are designed for side mounted seats.
They come in 4 parts:
2 side plates £55 per set
2 base plates £25 per set
The base plates are purpose made for an FD to give you a perfect fit to mount the side plates to, the side mounts are designed to be a universal fit similar to Cobra and Recaro
These are made from 6mm aluminium
any news/pics of these
Thanks
Lee
I bought the Sparco REV seat, it looks like it wont rub anywhere. Since its very narrow seat. A much better than the Pro2000 i compared it into. Now i would need a set of mounting hardware, AtomicRex does your mounts fit the Sparco also?
Will get the pictures up tomorrow....but we will be picking up the set of mounts tomorrow if anyone wants to pre-order?
They are a total custom fit...and will bolt straight in the car. The slits on the sides should be wide enough to take up any slight differences between bolt hole centres for the various makes. So Im sure they will fit the Sparco\'s.
Pictures would be worth of 1000 words. I still have to ask about the height, can you adjust the height of the seat like in Universal mounts?
EDIT: In page 1 you mentioned that its height adjustable. My bad, waiting for pictures...
