Title: Sway Bars
Post by: JBerg on November 16, 2007, 11:54:03 PM
I\'m looking to buy some new sway bars...

Undecided between Racing Beat and the Cusco ones. (Planning to get front and rear)

Anyone who has either installed, please give me some feedback :)

Thanks all!

Jon

There are more options depending on your application. If your using the car on track then i would suggest the Auto Exe ones. We have a set onorder for our demo car.

Cusco and racing beat are both very good roll bars too. If I canhelp please do let me know

Cheers
James

Hello,

Sorry about the dely in responce its been busy. I have not heard back form Auto Exe on full details of thei roll bars but i should hopefully tomorrow. The Cuscos are very good there is no doubt about that and would be good on track. The Auto Exe are a little stiffer so more aimed at just track use.

Cusco ones and 32mm on the front/18mm the rear and are priced £218.55 and £175 respectivly inc vat. If you wanted both we\'d do free shipping on them.

All the best

Yes they do, What  i think he ment was the actual roll bar mounts. There are a couple of companies that do billet version that have no lateral flex so you get the best out of your new roll bars.

Hi Jon,

The Auto Exe bars are coming in at £450 inc for the pair inc vat so they are more expensive than the Cuscos at £393.55 inc

As far as the roll bars mounts go there are two options availible at the moment. We can source a reinforced set of front steel/powercoated roll bars mounts for £160inc vat

Or we can supply Racing beat reinforcement bar, which uses the steering rack mounts to take some of the heat off the roll bar mounts. This comes in at similar price. Presonally i\'d go for the mounts. We are looking at getting some billet ones made but we don\'t have full details yet.

If you went for the Cusco bars and roll bar mounts we\'d do it for £540 with free delivery to your door.

Many thanks.
James

Yep, should be as I got one only a couple of months ago... Good bit of kit from Dragon there! PITA to fit without ramps however ;)

Thanks for the info :)

If you could just let me know how thick the auto exe bars are, that would be great :)

Will there be a noticeable difference in feel on the road or on the track? Still quite undecided...

Will take up a package with you either way

Thanks :)

Jon

Yes i\'ll mail them now to confirm thickness for you.

You will notice a big difference in cornering with either the cusco or the Auto Exe bars fitted. Much less body roll.

The other massive fact that people over look when fitting bigger roll bars is that by fitting bigger roll bars you take some of the strain out of the dampers whilst cornering so they perform better too. A very important mode if you will be doing some track days.

How should I pay the £540?

Thanks for your help,
