Im going to be installing a few new electronic toys this weekend in my rx7 and moving a few of the old ones, such as Apexi RSM, AVC-R and Autotimer.
Now im extending the harness of a couple of them to make the install alot neater. Now a new maplins has opened up near me which seems to have alot of decent electrical components, but my question is which wire should I get to extend the harnesses with, i\'ve got a choice of:
(10/0.1) Light duty Equipment wire
(07/0.2) Equipment wire
(16/0.2) Equipment wire
(24/0.2) Equipment wire
(32/0.2) Equipment wire
I was thinking about the 24/0.2 onwards for doing the loom as the others seem to small, bearing in mind one of these will be carrying power? Is that right or am I way off the mark?
Also im going to be installing the electronic speedo convertor while im at it. Now then has anyone got any pictures of the loom at the back where im meant to be splicing into?
Now the speedo convertor is just basically a 4 wire one:
Signal input
Signal output
Ground
Live
It says that im connecting into the centre 12 pin connector, where the signal wire is yellow & red. Is this correct? Also is there a ground and a live on the same 12 pin connector that I can tap into? If so which ones are they?
