Hi people!
As you UK guys had the rx-7 FD there as a new car, I\'d like to ask if the cars sold in the UK have E-marked lights? Meaning the rear lights, side repeaters etc. I think i\'m going to have some sort of problem if the rear lights need to be changed. Basically i then need to have some other lights fitted for the MOT inspection.
Also, would like to know if there is some sort of type approval papers available for the FD model from Mazda.
Thanks Alot!
JONI
Hi Joni,
sorry I meant to reply to this some time ago...
I\'ve had a look at my JDM FD and both the rear light cluster and the side repeaters are E marked. I doubt that they\'ve been changed for UK market parts (my car is a bit of a mongrel - auto converted to manual - but the only UK-specific part that I know has been fitted for certain is a UK-spec speedo) so I would be very surprised if the other JDM cars don\'t have e marked lights.

oh that\'s very positive as people are doing very dodgy mods to Skylines to pass mot. they will change the originals back right after the inspection tho, but still would be quite annoying to do some tricks every time to get it pass.
Now it also seems that they can\'t even emission test the rx-7 up here as it\'s not an otto engine. is it the same there? if not what sort of emission limits do you have on em?
