Hi guy\'s this weekend I have to put some oil in my Engine and box.. may do the diff while I am at it.
I have done a search and figure that the 10W40 mineral oil is the common choice for the engine and seems 75-90 for the gearbox and diff? Is that right? What GL rating should that be? I am not sure wha that means to be honest but I have seen it on the bottles!
Can someone tell me how much oil the engine should roughly take and also how much the diff and gearbox hold.
Thank you
Lee

How about a 10W40 semi-sythnthetic?
would that be okay?
Is changing the gear box oil a tricky job? Sorry to hijaack but i am thinking of doing this on sat and this is great info for me
Depends if you have the right tools to hand TBH. Draining it is no problem at all, just undo the drain bolt on the bottom and catch it all...
...Filling it up however ;) You\'ll need a large syringe to pump it back in, or some sort of pump really, no way can you get a funnel and pour it in. Same with the diff IIRC.
Got my trusty mitivac, so hopefully that will do the job!
Perfect! That should do the job lovely!
