I hope one of the technical boffs can help me out here.
I have had to get the airbag ECU replaced on my JDM RX8 but no longer have the old one (don’t ask!).

It states:

Page 6 shows the process for entering the As-built data.
Which apparently can be obtained from "PTS Home page" (which I’m assuming in a dealership system?) or www.fmcdealer.com (http://www.fmcdealer.com/) which requires a username and password.
I have found someone who can program this but is there any why I can get this information to give him?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

I have access to Mazdas program but limited to certain areas, if I cant find it, I ask them tomorrow for it or where to get it.
Gary that would be ideal. Any help you can provide on this would be very much appreciated!!
May be worth pointing out that it is a JDM car - with only two airbags as oppose to the 6 that come on UK cars.

OK, this is where I got to.
I have spoken with a couple of dealers, but although they have heard about it, it would seem only a few have the ability to obtain the info or equipment to do it.
I have left a message on the dealer tech help line, but not had any response, as I guess i should not have it as Im not a dealer, so not replying.
So I have driven over to Mazda HQ and spoke to someone there I know and he in turn went to tech desk.
Can you please call me so I can find out more need more info from you.

mm I wonder what "built-in" data is?
Car model?
Year?
Build spec?
Maybe the airbag settings are different by region?

I really hope this works! It seems to be the last resort as two Mazda dealerships haven’t been able to help.
Martin, my car is JDM and only has two airbags. models have 6 so the ECU data is different.
Right, so you need to program the ecu to "tell" it what it is!
Went to see someone to have this sorted again... now it\'s showing no Airbag related fault codes... :3Confused
It showed an issue with the clock spring though. The airbag blinks what looks to be code 14 (Blink, Pause, Blink, Blink, Blink, Blink)...
Anyone know what code 14 is on an RX8? :(
