Title: Fuel system
Post by: imebgo on October 31, 2007, 09:28:57 AM
Im about to install my fuel system in my project Rex (once the injectors and FPR arrive!)

I have a swirl pot that mounts to the subframe, I am just wondering about a reliable setup to feed my 850 and 1680cc injectors

I have an 044 and was going to fit that in tank, but I would need another 044 to feed the injectors from the pot?  Is it enough to use the stock pump in the tank to feed the pot and the 044 to feed the injectors, would I end up starving the 044 this way?

If I really do need two aftermarket pumps I will sort that out, but if thats overkill and stock will easily manage in this way I would like to leave it alone??

Any ideas how I should be installing this?

Thanks, James

i have the same injector setup on a half bridge and i use the stock pump filling the pot then a 044 with -8 lines and have no problems with the stock in-tank pump keeping up

hope this helps

just make sure you run a seperate relay/fuse system for the 044 bud and im sure you wont have any probs with starvation

Its not going to start without a remap is it?

lol

Bit of a chicken and egg situation here, the car is going to be run in so I need to stay of boost so I guess it needs a very basic map?  So do I need to get myself a wideband sensor! and sort this damn thing out?
