Title: Question for those with 850 primaries
Post by: gmogle on October 28, 2007, 10:24:00 AM
Hi Chaps,

Had my car mapped on friday, big thanks to Brian Ellis....was a good day despite the issues. And yes I have just got over the shock of running my car so hard to map it lol Big thanks though mate.

Anyway....I have 850 primaries, boost up to 0.9 bar, HKs downpipe, decat (silenced) and aftermarket backbox, dump valve, airpump disconnected (just unplugged) and apexi power fc.

Now it is gonna be MOT time next week (my car is a K reg, 1993), last time it was a nightmare, got 7% CO reading !!! So I had to refit the cat, reconnect the air pump and ask a big favour of a friend (Scott - sdminus) to come with me and tweak the map to get it through.

My question is this....will it pass with just the airpump connected ? Or will I have to refit the cat ? Are there any of you guys who have the same setup and go through this hassle when the MOT is due or does yours pass ok ?

Cheers,
Gareth

mine had 850 primarys i believe. decat no air pump. mine was idling at 8% once on test we cranked down the injector duty to 70% and it passed i`m sure the mapping pro`s will either correct me if wrong

there is a setting on the power fc that will allow you to run the car lean for the test
