Post by: steevo on October 24, 2007, 12:03:47 PM
Hi all,
I\'m now in the process of rebuilding my fd after breaking a tip at japshow finale....
I am fitting a t04z kit and hope to run it at 1.2 bar with WI.
Does anyone have any advice on the best tips to use and should i fit solid corner seals...
Where\'s the best place to gat a full rebuild kit,is atkin\'s rotary in the states any good...
Cheers....Steve

I would just use all genuine mazda stuff mate!
I did exactlly the same! Threw a tip at rotorstock (well 4 actually)
Just mapped the newly rebuilt engine with new T04Z!

I would say the same as LUM, use genuine parts don\'t cut corners or it will bite you hard in the wallet. As for apex\'s i believe its more about the set up after the rebuild than the Apex\'s you use but its also important you use Genuine springs.

I belive Dragon are doing Gasket sets etc at a good price at the moment? also if you are hooked on importing contact //www.rhdjapan.com they are really helpfull and have lots of experiance in the importing game.

Best think i can tell you is have your Plates checked by a pro, those water seal grooves can be tricky Buggers and have a tenancy of going shortly after a rebuilt (sods law) so its worth your while to get it checked properly.

As for Atkins, i\'ve used them a few times and a bit of advise is go on rx7club.com and pm Atkins Dan or Atkins Mama, i have always had a good experiance dealing with them but i\'ve heard the guy who deals with the "On-line" service is not to hot.
