Post by: Colin on October 22, 2007, 10:23:00 PM
Hi guys, going to give my car a service at the weekend and was wondering where is the best place to get parts and what do you guys recommend? The plan for saturday;

Oil change, filter change
Air filter change
Fuel filter change
New tyres all round:( , eagle f1 gd3s ok??
New mats(Do you get these at mazda?)
Coolant change??

I have probably missed loads, any other parts i should be changing?

Sounds pretty thorough, and will look great after that detail :cheers

You could also change:
Brake fluid
Gearbox oil
Spark plugs

Depends when it was all last done, if straight from japan may as well do everything just to be sure

The BluePrint one is wrongly priced and will be coming down tomorrow, waiting on new price, (should be approx £35) but the Mazda one is correct.

^^ ok, having been looking on-line tonight 35 profile tyres seem to be rare, what do people use? 30 or 40 profile tyres?

Thanks

Are these the stock wheels. If so you are probably only looking at a 225 or 235 width tyre and probably a 45 profile or you will throw your speedo out, whats on there at moment?

On the subject of brake pads, should you need to change them, I\'ve just fitted a set of Mintex Extreme and I\'m very happy with them. Very noticeable improvement from stock, and don\'t break the bank at around 125 quid for a set (front and rear).
