Nearly done all of the electrics now,it is a total rewire,the engine bay wiring is completed.No guages as yet.
Still lot\'s to do,fuel system,brakes,front hubs are going to modded to take EGI dics and calipers,rears still have to be done.
Loads to do still!

Long way from being ready to race yet,but spec so far is 20b engine with GT42 turbo,ford 9 inch differential,31 spline axles,15X12 inch weld drag wheels on rear,and 15X5 inch on front.
The serious work has been carried out by Webster Race engineering who did the rear end conversion,we (Hayward Rotary) have done everything else.

It obviously won\'t be as quick as the ReWorx RX8 which is going to be running on Methanol.We will be using petrol still.

I beleive that the Reworx car will be considerably lighter than ours as we are still running at over 1000 kilos.If they are running petrol at first then that will be interesting.
As our car is as streamlined as a brick and pretty short wheel base I think it will be quite a handful.
It would be nice to get into the 10\'s with it though.

The reason for the 20b is something that you should know.It is called Rules dear boy.
The rules for sport compact say that you must use an OEM engine,and we are doing exactly that.They also state that the car should be from the same manufacturer as the engine,we are also doing that.So the 3 rotor and 4 rotor short blocks are not usuable.
The reason for "Fully engineered"(Sic) is for safety,something that some don\'t seem to be too concerned about.
When I have said to Ross about his car coming back out,what is wrong with that,he did come on the thread after all? I would like to see both his and yours run.I don\'t believe I have said anything negative about your car.If you do then you must be absolutely shaking in your boots for no good reason.
The fastest rotary powered car in the world is a streamlined RX8, RX3\'s are brick like in their shape.
10\'s will do for me,if we go faster then great,if we don\'t then that is no great shakes either as we have built the car to have fun.If I wanted to be the fastest out there then I would build the car to suit,as opoosed to building the car I like.

Seriously though,we can lighten it but at the moment I think the weight might keep it more stable,plus we might need to leave some strength in the car until we get used to it.
It used to be a handful when we were running in the high 12\'s,but now I think it will be a real big handful!
If the car seems to go well enough and we want more then we\'ll certainly see what can be done to improve it.

Why Carl is saying the rx3 is heavy at 1000kgs is that this includes the weight of the driver. I have it on good authority that when Mr Hayward is barred from Pizza Hut in Newbury the car will be substantially less than 1000kgs and will be well into the sevens.
Will this car be out and about racing this year? :D

Sounds great, the vid made me smile.
I used to live next to one of the engine guys for Andy Robinson\'s drag cars and he took me along to Santa Pod with the crew for the Euro finals a few years ago. He was doing 7\'s at FIA level in a ridiculously violent 000\'s bhp machine. Busy too, with 16 channel data logging when I was running 4 in circuit racing. Engine tear downs after 1/4 of a mile running was the joke of the day (£ per mile racing..). Still I learnt a lot, and still have a couple of habits with race day tool organizing I picked up that day.
Anyway, best of luck finishing the project and when it\'s done let us know. I\'ll come along to watch that..

He did say he was going to sort the front suspension and steering out when i was there last.
