Post by: neil_jdmr on October 16, 2007, 10:29:03 AM
Been out to see a mate today and took him for a spin out in the car so obviously had to give it the beans for him, but i had set my trip when i put the £20 in for the 100mile round trip.

Now i didnt expect it to make it but!!!

It did :yes

So im now thinking my worries about it running rich are probably bollox then?

Yeah, i would get an a/f meter and check that too, i\'m running a stock car and if i boot it i get about half that mileage on 20 quid....  I get about 20 to 25 if i stay under 3k most of the time, but where\'s the fun in that lol:rollin

I find it stays at 1/2 way for ages but then all of a sudden it\'ll just go down to a quarter and then seems to drop rapidly mile by mile lol, i reckon i get an average of 250 to 300 miles on a full tank, of mixed town and motorway miles (cruise control is so much less thirsty than the foot lol

That mpg is realistic, but you cant measure it on what the gauge says. You must fill up, drive, and fill up again to measure it.
