Title: Help... Injectors
Post by: rmagictastic on October 16, 2007, 09:22:50 AM
hi all,
what would happen if you put low impedence 550cc injectors in the primary injector rail of an FD?? I believe that the normal ones are high impedance.

as far as i can gather you would be pulling more current from the injector circuits, but what would actually happen to the running of the car???

>>> i think it would open the injectors and massively overfuel but cant get me head around it..

and yes.... i do know someone who has done this by accident (NOT ME!!!!)

You\'re right, they\'ll pull more current and possibly fry the injector drivers. You can use a ballast restistor sometimes to limit the current.
http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/minj.htm has a good explanation.
