Title: Bust gearbox sensor
Post by: leeroy_25 on October 13, 2007, 08:03:51 PM
Hi guy\'s

I noticed today while prepping my engine ready to go back that the sensor on the top of the gearbox has got the wires pulled out.. Presumably this happened when the engine was removed.. Has anyone got a sapre of this?

There is not really enough left to try and join the wires back together.

Thank you
Lee

A safe bet would be to speak to Tim or Matt at RXmotors they\'re bound to have one somewhere! And they\'re not a million miles from you.

Cheers Chaps,
I was going to try soldering it first if I can remove a bit of plastic around the wires to expose some clear copper I will give it a bash.. What do these sensors do?
Would the sensors be the same in say an MX5 or something?

Thank you
Lee

Wouldn\'t like to say about what it does as I know absolutly nowt about auto boxes.....are the reverse lights switched from the box itself or the shifter....waaaaaay outta my depth!

Anyhoo...great project mate keep up the good work.
