Title: grinding flywheel
Post by: Martiny on October 10, 2007, 11:46:03 AM
Hi guys,

Before engine removal, my clutch was causing a bad shudder when pulling away. The engine mountings look OK.

I havent inspected the flywheel closely yet, but I think it may have some grooves , and / or dirt on it. I read a recommendation (on Brembo?) that the flywheel should be skimmed when replacing a clutch.

Can I just take it to any motor factors - would they send it to an engineering shop for me?

I got mine skimmed. I just went to a normal motor engineering shop and they took off enough to make it good again.

Take it to a local garage and get them to recomend somewhere.
