Could someone kindly explain to me the benefits of re-locating the battery and where would I get the box from? ( 96 FD )

Thanks for that, I thought it created more room for cooling even under the stock IC set up...

The only other reason I\'ve heard of is if you\'re real picky about weight distribution-I know this applies in the FB community and I think it\'s the same for you guys....although only from what I\'ve read on rx7club.com. Apologies if that was in fact, absolute tripe!:Laugh

I think that the FD has nearly 50 / 50 weight distribution ratio, so re-locating the battery may upset that balance. I also could be incorrect, maybe the battery does not weigh that much to make a difference, at least when you remove the cat it is "almost in the middle" of the car...but then if the air pump goes as well I wonder if that mod alone does up sets the balance of weight distribution.

Yeah I guess it\'s a similar situation with the FB,I think the distribution is 49/51 or something close but I know a lot of the chaps in the US who do autocross or whatever they call it swear by shifting the battery to the back...........I\'m gonna go on rx7club and have a butchers in the hope I can back my claim up!! I\'ll keep you posted on my findings.
