Title: Electric Mirrors
Post by: Matts-gen2 on October 03, 2007, 11:37:11 AM
Can someone tell me iff the electric mirrors work on a combined fuse, with another item.

My idiot clock has an intermittent light that appears on the rear fog light light.

After a small slap on the tap of the dash board this goes away, then comes back a bit later.

It has stopped lighting up at all now, and even when i turn the rear fog light on the dashboard light doesnt show.

Now the electic mirrors have decided to stop working.

Is it time to re-solder the idiot clock / panel?

:2Confused

Check the fuse box by your feet and also remove the side panel next to your right leg - sometimes theres some iffy wiring in there. (Bodge jobs from alarm people etc)

Okay will check that out.

Is there not a fuse that runs the electric mirrors then?

Some goon, had put the cover on upside down. Some second monkey (me) didnt realise and when i had blown a fuse for stereo amp pulled out what i believed to be a spare fuse, which in fact was the cigarette lighter fuse.....

which runs cig lighter, heater, electric mirrors.

another lesson learned.
