Title: My first encounter with the RX / was it you?
Post by: fdlover on September 28, 2007, 04:51:31 PM
just seen a rex in the flesh!!!! first time as well!! :InLove

defo gettin one now!!! - they\'re so low and look awesome!! this was a red one on a K plate, looked pretty standard, well standard spoiler and no obvious body kit, but had double exhaust... spotted on Cook st, near Castle St, Liverpool City Centre.

Whoever owns this FD must be a member on here surely??

I did notice though... there was seats in the back, but they looked a bit cramped.... if you shut the boot will you hit someone in the backseat on the head?? lol or are they sat that low it doesn\'t affect them???

ironic really, cos I was just about to make a new thread to see if anyone in the manchester/greater manchester/liverpool area would be kind enough to take me out in their FD just to see what it was like??? obvisously i\'ll bring the beer tokens and petrol fare.

i made a new thread asking ppl about the Celica ST205 and FD differences, but now i don\'t care - am gettin an FD :3gears-lh :3gears-lh  lol

You honestly can only fit children, dwarfs and midgets in the back seats... But then you can get one person in the back OK if they swing their legs over the central bit and have their feet behind the passenger seat which is OK for comfort ;)

And they\'re low down so shouldn\'t get brained the the rear hatch being shut!!!

But having had the bins and the rear seats I find the seats are much better as you can throw stuff back there and it doesn\'t fly around too much, and they\'re perfect for thai / indian take aways!

Is that they would fit by beating them in there with a hammer until all the bits are in... Like hammering the square peg into the round hold ;)

If the passenger moves their seat forward a fair bit you can fit in the back say a 5ft 7 person or so !!!!

Welcome to the club btw hope you find what you are looking for, get a insurance quote before you buy the car too :Party

You can get two smallish adults in the back, but you have to drive with your knees draped over your ears!

It is possible.. just!

When I was working in the City Centre I was getting about 200ish miles on a full tank - mostly rush hour traffic though. Now i\'m back on open roads its increased somewhat to around 230-250 - although I have been driving like an absolute hooligan! :D

Cost ~£60 to fill her up, thats using V-Power @ £1.01 / litre.
